Visual Histology Text-Atlas       

This concise, illustrated on-line Text-Atlas, “Visual Histology,” by Moran & Rowley, was originally published in “hard copy” where it was a best-seller. An excellent preview and review of histology, it is now available in 2007as a free online book to use as you wish. Some significant points:

1) The Atlas has a glossary hyperlinked to the text. When you encounter an histologic term that is italicized, click on it and the glossary definition will appear!

2) The Chapters in the Atlas correspond closely to the 26 hard-copy DVD video course programs in the Visual Histology DVD Series.

3) The Chapters in the Atlas correspond closely to the 26  “virtual”  course programs offered as streaming videos to Universities to put up on their own servers in the Institutional Site License System. The Atlas is organized in same way as the Classic Histology PowerPoint Series popular with lecturers in cell and tissue biology.
